Overview
The sorting conveyor is the working surface of a separation line. Mixed material runs along the belt at a controlled speed while operators standing at picking stations remove the fractions being collected, dropping each into a chute or bunker beside the platform.
Belt speed, platform height and the number of picking positions are set according to the plant layout and the composition of the incoming material.
